I work as an instructional designer, though my title at Centene is Digital Curriculum Developer. With a foundation in music and performing arts, my professional path has always been rooted in communication, creativity, and helping others learn with confidence. My background in music taught me the value of curiosity, critical thinking, discipline, and approaching challenges with a calm and open mind. While teaching music privately, I developed a deep appreciation for adapting instruction to each individual learner, which strengthened my ability to create engaging, learner-centered experiences. That passion for personalized learning continued to grow as I transitioned into digital curriculum development, where I expanded my technical skills and discovered how technology can make learning more interactive, scalable, and impactful. Today, I design and develop enterprise learning solutions that include eLearning, virtual simulations, training videos, facilitator resources, job aids, assessments, and performance support materials. My work is centered on transforming complex information into clear, practical learning experiences that support learner performance, align with business goals, and drive meaningful results.
Every project begins with understanding the business need, the learner audience, and the desired outcome. From there, the focus shifts to designing learning solutions that make complex information clear, practical, and easy to apply. My process combines instructional design, learner-centered strategy, and digital development to create content people can actually use on the job.
Collaboration is a key part of the approach. By partnering with stakeholders, gathering requirements, and defining the right learning strategy, each solution is built with both the learner experience and the business objective in mind. Depending on the need, deliverables may include eLearning, virtual simulations, training videos, facilitator resources, job aids, assessments, or other performance support materials.
A structured workflow helps ensure consistency and quality throughout the process. Projects move through design, development, review, and implementation with attention to clarity, accessibility, accuracy, and usability. This includes review cycles, stakeholder input, and preparation for final delivery in the appropriate format.
Continuous improvement is part of how I work. Beyond building content, that means gathering stakeholder and reviewer feedback, tracking project scope and delivery against goals, and looking for ways to strengthen the learning experience on the next iteration.
I work best through collaboration, transparency, and mutual respect. Whether partnering with stakeholders, supporting subject matter experts, or contributing to cross-functional teams, I focus on building strong working relationships that allow ideas to be shared clearly and solutions to be developed thoughtfully. My goal is to create a process that feels organized, productive, and supportive while keeping both the learner experience and the project objective at the center.
By working together, we can create learning solutions that simplify complex content, support learner success, and meet the needs of modern training environments. From strategy and structure to development and delivery, each project is designed to produce clear, engaging content that is useful, actionable, and aligned with the intended outcome.
In addition to developing learning content, I bring a thoughtful, strategic approach to every project. My work often includes partnering with stakeholders, organizing complex information, shaping learning strategy, building scalable materials, supporting implementation, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. This broader approach helps ensure each solution is clear, effective, and aligned with both learner needs and business goals.
